What kind of tools do you guys recommend for trimming and cutting the body? Hole saws for the tail lights, but what about for the other areas that need to be cutout? Thanks,

Rick

In addition to those tools mentioned, I've found a set of hand files handy for finishing off the openings I've cut. Maybe it's me, but I can't get a good shape out of a power tool (a hole saw being the exception!).

Thanks guys. I went ahead and ordered one of those air saws. Trying to keep the costs down so I'll try the hand files for cleanup.

An oscillating cutter works great for cutting fiberglass:

I have been cutting them with a straight die grinder with a coarse cartidge roll attachment dusty but affective.

Yup, I use the corded Harbor Freight version (only $15 with coupon) for the long straight, cuts (a Dremel for the corners and tight spots) then shape with hand files.

Haven't been to this site in a while. 60 years of fiberglass experience, own a glass business.<mpdfiberbodywerx.com>.

What you need for glass is as many diamond tools you can get. "sample marshall" in new jersey has a good supply of cutting wheels and other tools. Quarter inch collet air is the best, not the pinche little 1/8" stuff. A 3" mushroom sander is helpful. Any advice needed call me, i will help you with advice.
