Turning 60 in November and looking forward to enjoying life more. I've always been a car guy and ordered my MK4 Roadster complete kit set for October delivery. I definitely wanted to take advantage of the 50 percent off options. It will be powered by Gordon Levy Stage 5 with an Inglese stack. This is dream car that my son will be the primary builder. He lives several states away (VA) but I will take vacations and long weekends to work with him whenever possible. He also has great gear head buddies who are looking forward to helping as well.

My donor car for the rear and assorted items not included with the complete kit is a 95 Mustang Cobra. The rear is 31 spline axles with Eaton posi. The car will be mostly a cruiser but will spend time auto crossing and at HPDEs. The donor car had a balanced 331, AFR heads and other upgrades with a 2.1 KenneBell supercharger. Prepping it for an HPDE 2 years ago I found issues with the engine and decided it was time for a total upgrade. The MK 4 is a treat that I look forward to enjoying in the years to come.

I have been on this site and look forward to asking questions as the build progresses.

Another Virginian! well...sort of. Welcome and good luck. What part of Virginia will the car be built in?

Happy Birthday EJ, and welcome. Good luck to you and your son as you get ready to build.

Father son project makes it even more special.

Thanks for the welcome. I grew up in Ashland and My son lives in Powhatan not too far from Atlee. I did mention that smithbks was nearby. I am finding this is a very friendly and tight group of people. We're looking forward to the experience and help with questions as the build progresses.
