I am installing the FFR ebrake handle on the PS transmission tunnel per the manual and cannot get the handle to clear the aluminum. It hits the aluminum pretty quick when releasing the tension. I've searched the forums and didn't find any answers...wondering if anyone else had this problem.

I originally had the bolts inserted with the nut on the tunnel side but reversed them to try to increase clearance (the button head is smaller than the nut) and that didn't work either.

I put a notch in the aluminum for the bottom bolt where the assembly attaches to the chassis to move it away from the tunnel. That worked for me.

I cut the aluminum for clearance. Then, I angled the handled so that the button is closer to the passenger side and I got rid of the clearance issue. But I still have a hole in my aluminum...
