Hello,

I am looking for a roadster owner living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that would like to help a new nonprofit organization by letting us use your car as a display for our booth at the Goodguys car show at Texas Motor Speedway in October. We have a 10'x20' indoor vendor space that we would like to display a Factory Five Roadster at to draw attention to our booth. We do NOT want to drive your car, we just would like you to park your car next to our booth.

A little about who we are and what we do. We are The Teenage Auto Builders Association of Texas. We are an education based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Keller, TX that was developed to teach our community's youth a real and practical application of science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), mechanics, and teamwork by building a Factory Five Shelby Cobra replica.

If you would like to help us with a display vehicle for this cars show weekend and/or want to know more about our organization, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.

Thank you,
Will Harger

"I'll add that on that organization's web site, two of the founders claim to be "flight service specialists" at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth.

Neither of them can be found in the corporate email address book, IM address book, or more localized online phone directory.

Don't ask me how I know - just sayin'."

Their listed address where they will be doing their workshop, CLICK HERE

Not certain I'd want my car associated with this group at this time.

mrmustang,

I'd like to take this opportunity to address the concerns you have raised concerning the legitimacy of our organization.

First, There are almost 500 flight service specialists throughout the country, and none of us have ever been given corporate email address's or listed in the directory. We don't know why but that's just the way it is. If you, or anyone else would like to verify our employment, I will be more than happy to supply you with our Human Resources contact information.

Second, The address listed on our website is not where our workshop is located. It is a rented postal box because it is secure and has a staff that can sign for packages during business hours, which we would be unable to accept because we are at our full time jobs. We currently do not have a shop space because we are a brand new organization and currently applying for grants to raise the seed money required to get our program up and running.

Third, If you would like to further verify our organizations legitimacy, please send me a message and I will provide you with our Tax ID and IRS contact information.

If you, or anyone else have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,
Will

I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to read this post. We are happy to announce that we have a volunteer and are no longer requiring any further assistance at this time. If you'll be coming to the Goodguys show in October, please stop by our booth and say hello. We look forward to meeting you. Thank you again for your time.

Sincerely,
Will
