NASA Championships Presented by Toyo Tires

NASA Nationals East Coast 2014 at Road Atlanta (http://nasachampionships.com/east-event/) is upon us this weekend Friday-Sunday, I will be on track competing in the Factory Five Racing Challenge Series class defending my 2012 Championship win. Racing in my class are 7 fellow competitors in identically prepared FFR Challenge cars, the Nationals event consists of two qualifying races setting the grid for the main Nationals race. Schedule below. I will try turn on the live incar video stream for the races in bold.

9:25 AM - 9:45 AM 20 Group 1
10:35 AM - 11:00 AM 25 Group 1
1:10 PM - 1:40 PM 30 Group 1
3:15 PM - 3:40 PM 25 Group 1

Friday Qualifying Race #1:
8:35 AM - 8:50 AM 15 Group B Warm Up
10:55 AM - 11:15 AM 20 Group B Qualifying
1:20 PM - 1:50 PM 30 Group B Qualifying Race #1

Saturday Qualifying Race #2:
8:15 AM - 8:30 AM 15 Group B Warm Up
10:10 AM - 10:40 AM 30 Group B Qualifying Race #2

Sunday Nationals Race:
12:30 PM - 1:15 PM 45 Group B Championship Race

Factory Five Racing R&D Director Jim Schenck will be at Road Atlanta this coming weekend. I believe he is working with NASA in tech and to support the series. I flew into Atlanta at the end of last week to sneak into a one-day Skip Barber class held at RA.

Turn 12 is absolutely insane after that downhill section... nice to have a wall right there. It was the most fun in a 12 passenger van! John, in all seriousness, to take that turn as you do, at the edge, takes some real courage. Good luck this weekend.

I did the 3 day MX-5 course there last Dec. Great track. I raced there in the 80's but the new config. is better IMO. The best hop up you can do to your car is become a better driver IMO. Glad you had a good time DS.
