History of AC and the Cobra - Road & Track magazine from June 1964

A while back I scored a great buy on Ebay - for around 10 bucks each I bought a couple Road & Track magazines from the early '60s. One is the introduction of the Cobra from 1962 and the other is the June '64 issue with a few great Cobra articles. I especially enjoyed the history of AC Cars called "From Carts to Cobras" in the '64 issue.

There's also a bunch of other great articles and the advertisements / classifieds are a hoot. If you're a little tired of the rags that pass for enthusiast magazines these days, buy up a few of these old magazines and enjoy a trip back in time.

The only car mag I find myself reading these days is Classic Motorsports, which has had a series of articles on the Daytona Coupe. It is not just the same old thing you read everywhere, but information on coupes that you don't hear much about like the extended wheelbase one, since re-shortened. Written by Peter Brock, so real first hand info. There is the story of the Type-65 coupe (which is not the Daytona BTW).
