I went to my local autoparts store and ordered complete half shafts for a 1990 T-bird "supercoupe" with the 8.8. When I got them home I noticed the axle diameter was small than the FFR supplied shafts and I would not be able to swap everything over.

Does anyone have the correct number to order complete half shafts or a source to order parts?
Part Numbers?

Any input would be great.

Thx, Matt

Driveshaftshop.com
Makes complete axles and drive shafts, little pricey but I bought them anyway. don't want one of these breaking at speed. If you don't have one get a drive shaft safety loop also. I think Mike at Fortes has those. Heck He might even have the axles.

Mine were supplied by FFR. Do you not have a complete Kit. You might call FFR and see if they sell them or point you to their supplier. I Have found Patti to be quite helpful.

I bought a replacement set from FFR. They were complete and less expensive than I though they'd be.

Thanks guys,
I'll try FFR and the driveshaftshop in the AM.

Knowone knows part number which I can find locally that will work? I was hoping to find something local to give me the chance of having a Go-cart for AHA but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. :(

Mat, I can't remember; are you Pin-Drive or standard width?

The joints are the same, use the supplied CVs blow them apart, use the axles from FFR with the new boots and it will be fine. The large shaft was a vibration dampener not anything else. In short the main shaft can be 3 inches the part that goes into the joint is the same. HTH, Richard.
