I picked up my MK4 today and would like to take it to a mechanic to have it checked over. The gas pedal is loose / limp and needs to be adjusted, perhaps I can do this myself? I would like a good mechanic anyway so I can add power steering and a few other mods. Thanks - Don M. Stafford, VA.

Hi - I called and spoke to Mark's wife - I will keep his info in my back pocket but I would prefer someone local.

Yes - I did speak with his wife since Mark is on the road. She explained the process. Thanks for recommending him.

Give Bryan Dobyns a call. He got out of the FFR business a while ago to focus on large truck repair but he might take a look at yours. He's in Manassas. Here's his number: 703-393-0606

Even if he won't do it, he might be able to recommend someone.

Jim - Bryan Dobyns is swamped with the truck repair business but did give me a shop in Manassas (Coho Auto). I met another forum member from Manassas that is going to look at my car though on Sunday.
