Two of the top sellers, and for good reasons, are Mike Forte and Gordon Levy. Both have been making engines for FFR Cars for a while and have great reviews. Figure on spending around 8 to 10 for a turn key. Although you can spend a little less or a LOT more.

I bought mine from Engine factory and I am very satisfy until now. I called them twice and always I got fast and polite answer.
My engine : 351W stroked 427 for Strip & Street use.

Mawkie,
Too many variables to answer just yet. Is it a FFR chassis? How is it set up? Which mounts does it have? Big Block, Small Block, Modular? What transmission do you have? Did it have an engine in it previously? What was it? Was it carburated or did it have fuel injection? Where are you located? Maybe if you can't answer these questions, someone could come by and take a look? Or, can you post pics of what you have?

Hi Mawkie, welcome!
Both Mike Forte (Fortes Parts Connection) and Gordon Levy (Levy Racing) are US based engine builders with outstanding reputations. I think they are both listed advertisers on this site if you want to check them out?

If you prefer to deal with a supplier who is local, Al Beix from Specialty Car Parts Canada can set you up I'm sure:

David's right though. You'll get more useful help if you offer a few details about what you have now and what direction you think you are headed (what is your intended use)?
Whereabouts in BC are you located?

In BC, don't rule these guys out.

They have a good reputation, and can build a performance engine any way you want it, mild to wild. Best to go down and talk to them. Prices I felt were pretty reasonable, and there is no duty, shipping costs, etc..

Neil, your the guy I need to talk with. I have the same engine you do. Roller Rocker, Roller Cam. Balanced and Blue Printed right? Mine is an EFI (electronic fuel injected) engine. I don't have it installed yet but can you please tell me, what's it sound like? Hows the power etc. Mrcobra67 on "you tube" has the sound I was looking for. Anyway, I'm just starting my build hopefully in a week or so. Hope to hear back from you. Thanks man.

Thanks for all the great followup, video and pictures. I heard about you thru the ffcobra forum about 6 years ago, visited your NJ shop about 5 years ago. Very impressed with the shop and especially your employees and sons (very professional and helpful). Then I was out in Virginia and took a ride with Bill Dane in his FFR, he runs one of your 351W, 400 horse carbed, was very impressed. His demo would have made you very proud, he'd been running it for about 2 years at the time and was very happy with it..........I was sold. Then I attended the build course and made the EFI decision. There was a lot of talk about you guys at the course and I know I made one true believer (Frasier Marshall) because he ended up with one of your 305 EFI motors. I know he hasn't had it on the road yet, but he runs it often and is very pleased. You guys have a GREAT website, lots of good info and very helpful. I give you guys a strong 10 and will continue to highly recommend.

You've got a business that you can be very proud of!!
Thanks guys,

I will attest to that. Beautiful engine. 380 hp on the dyno. I connected clutch, bellhousing and transmission and dropped it in. Hooked up water and electric plus fuel and started it. Just like that no muss no fuss.

If you are looking for BB power, you might give the ford 460 cid a thought! You can get 600++ hp from one of these just using off the shelf parts & for under $12,000 US. Mileage might not be the best! But OH WHAT A RUSSSHHH!!!!! :)

So are those built by Canada Engines, for WCC?
Fordstroker (http://www.fordstrokers.com/).
Their service is excellent and their engines are rock solid. They answered all my questions, talked to me on the phone about the stack system and what cam they suggested and took the time to contact the stack vendor to make sure things were going to be good. The only down side was a 4 month wait; they are that busy.
