As a new guy here I posted about using a LS engine in a roadster.

I received mostly neutral to negative feedback for good reasons.

After thinking it over and visualizing the roadster engine compartment I think she needs an engine with:

1. a carburetor

2. no cats.

3. a distributor

4. real valve covers

5. made by Ford

6. solid lifters

7. lumpy cam

8. and one of those sexy Cobra breathers

Thanks for the education and helping me see the light.:cool:

Larry,

Just to be the Devils's advocate, I bleed Blue Oval, but, if CS had gotten what he wanted from Chevrolet, the Cobras would have had small block Chevy engines in them. So historically speaking, the Chevy motor is not necessarily a bad choice.

Just because we couldn't convert you this time doesn't mean we won't try again:)

My n/a 502cid LS (RHS) engine should be making over 800RWhp :)

This should satisfy OP's requirement number 7, "lumpy cam".

I like the RHS blocks a lot but I went cheap with the LSX.
