A few months ago, Arthur St. Antoine, host of Motor Trend's online show "Epic Drives", called me up and asked if he could borrow my Mk4 Roadster for a 1,000 mile trip from Seattle to Monterey, CA for the show. We had six cars driving on the Hot Rod Power Tour at the time, and as luck would have it, the ONLY car I had available was my Mk4!
I sent the car with an unknown carrier that Stewart Transport helped me find, and they dropped it off in a parking lot of some Russian-run operation. The weather forecast was for rain the first half of the 1,000 mile trip, and I had a sick feeling in my stomach that I probably wouldn't see my favorite Roadster again. Well all turned out great. The weather was beautiful, and Arthur drove the wheels off of the car.
