Anyone have one handy or know what the size/thread of the upper control arm jam nuts are? I'm not home at the moment to look.

22mm nut. I slopped sound deadener on the threads, best I can guess is 14mm threads. Even harder to tell thread pitch. Rough guess is fine threads, but don't take thread pitch to the bank, lol.

I never would have thought to check. That's cruel mixing that in on a metric car, lol. As if our 818's weren't going to be a crazy enough mix of sizes already! Sorry.

No worse mix than ay American car for the last 30 years. Get used to having a lot of tools.

Get used to having good excuses to buy tools!

It's just not ideal in rush situations like autocross when you have a 5 minute allowance to fix issues and you can't find what size allen key fits a slightly rounded out bolt head.

Oops, I read your question as "lower" control arm. I was apparently out of it yesterday.

Bringing this thread back up. So they are 3/4 but anyone know if they are 3/4-10 or 3/4-16? Need to know so I can get a tap & die to clean them up with after I cut them down.

Could just make a mark and count threads if it's right in front of you. I'm at school so I wouldn't be any help atm.

Just bought some steel 4" tubes. 3/4-16 LH & RH
I believe you are cutting off RH thread

I just cut mine down with a hack saw leaving the nut on the shaft. Maybe Michael cut it off, change that to a 4" peanut grinder (the 818 swiss army knife). Then removed the nut to clean the threads. No expensive tools needed.
