First dumb question is when deleting wiring such as marker lights or ABS etc do you just trace back from the light or sensor to the connector or fuse box and just cut the wire and leave the cut ens there?
Should you do anything with the end of the wire? Leave 2 inches just in case?
Ready to jump in but nervious about cutting. For ABS, just follow the yellow wraped wires (even when they change colors) and cut at the big connector that went to the ABS mosule?

I think it depends on your confidence in understanding the wiring diagram for your particular car. The majority of the exterior lights are interconnected and junction back into tees. I cut mine back to the taped junction (tee) and just added a little more tape after the cut. When deleting whole systems like ABS you can leave a couple inches of wire at the connector and come back after the car is running. Then make a final cut and remove that extra wire knowing for sure you haven't affected the operation of the motor.
Go slow and stop if something doesn't make sense.

I might be forgetting since it's been a couple months since I tore into my harness. I think all the yellow wrapped wires were airbag stuff. I found myself swapping those terms (airbag and ABS) regularly like I wix my mords, lol. Most of the airbag harness is entirely independent of the vehicle harness. It only ties in at a few spots. The airbag harness can be largely removed. In the event of an accident with airbag deployment, you're usually required to replace the airbag system, harness and all, as a unit. Thus, why it is largely by itself.
