Before the 818 and before Factory five there was an 818.
I thought you guys would find this interesting...

-Mid engine
-Rear wheel drive
-Tube frame
and drum roll...

-818 kg

It was named the G12P. A kit car based on the Ginetta G12 which was a very successful car that did race along side the Cobra, GT40, Daytona Coupe and Ferrari 330 P4.

Only 5 cars where ever produced.

A "true" 818, not a 918 like ours (well, 918 is also the new Porsche, but I wasn't talking about that). :)

Looks a lot like a Kelmark GT.

It looks very different from the Kelmark GT. Actually the interesting thing is that it was designed in 1967 by Richard Petit, Head of Ford Advanced Vehicle Concept Design studio for his master’s thesis while he was in the UK.

The Kelmark is a Ferrari Dino inspired car, Ginetta made a bunch of beautiful cars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginetta_Cars

Ginetta made many cool cars. The G12 is still in production by DARE in the UK. I think it looks like a mini GT40.

It also resembles a Porsche 904 too. The '60s had some of the best designs IMO.
