Hello, Recently bought a Mk3 Cobra kit from a guy that purchased it in 2008 but never got started. Any advice on getting it started will be greatly appreciated. First order of business... the Coyote 5.0 I see it fit in the Mk4. Will it fit in the 3? Anyone out there tried this?

Yes and yes. Installed successfully in both. It's a tight fit, and requires some changes to the foot boxes. But certainly doable and a great choice. Factory Five has a special instruction set and parts for a Coyote install. Also try some searches on this forum and FFCars.com. Lots of information.

BTW, welcome to the forum and welcome to the madness. Congratulations on your kit buy.

Thanks Ed for the advice on the Coyote and the welcoming. Can't wait to get started. Got a brand new Coyote to install and am just waiting for parts from Breeze Auto. Hopefully the parts arrive soon. Its's been two weeks and they are still AWall. Anyone use Breeze or know what the reputation is like.

Mark Reynolds at Breeze is top notch. I've ordered tons from him. Has great products and knows our cars. You can order from him in complete confidence. I suspect many others will line up and say the same thing. I honestly don't remember anyone ever saying any negative about their experience with Breeze. Having said that, he is a small business so doesn't have a huge inventory. Also some of his parts are dropped shipped from the mfg. That's happened with me a few times. So if you have a confirmed order and don't have the parts yet, it's likely because he doesn't have it in stock. Drop him an email or call and he will tell you exactly what's up. He always does for me.

Thanks Guys,

I will stick with Mark and Breeze for the remainder of most of my components. His web site does show a lot of helpful tips as well as parts

Take a look at an external picture hosting site. They typically allow very easy upload (e.g. drag and drop) and tools to capture the link and paste into your threads. Then just post the link into your threads vs. uploading the actual picture file to the forum. It's quick and easy once you get the hang of it. I use Photobucket, as many others here do. A basic account with quite a bit of storage is free.

Make sure you are using the modular motor drivers side foot box wall. Also make sure you have the correct passengers foot box to allow the coyote

MKIV all have the correct foot box for this. Early mkiii's had a angular foot-box which will not allow the coyote without modification.

Other wise yes it will fit no,problem
