Raise your right hand and say after me,
"I (State your name), do swear/affirm, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"
It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I accept the "Revered Coupe Jacket" with pride. I have been researching ideas about the build for months. I'm going to try give as much vintage look as possible. Between the fantastic builds I have witnessed in this forum, and vintage coupe photos, I feel I should be able to get close. Engine plane is a Ford 363 cid crate engine, topped by a set of downdraft Webers. I will certainly put up plenty of pictures.

Make sure to measure the engine height with the webers. Here is a picture of a coupe I did a number of years ago and had some hood clearance issues on a 351w. Ended up going with stack injection.31908

According to Ford Racing, it's supposed to be a Boss 302 block, which would be an inch lower deck height than a Windsor based block. Deck height is listed as 8.20" versus 9.20" for the Windsor. I don't want to modify the hood line to accommodate a taller engine. Do you recall how much interference there was? Appreciate the heads up.

congrats on the coupe!
Also get 2" (50mm) stacks for the Webbers as opposed to the 4" (100mm) stacks as seen in Tom's photo above and you should be golden.

The shorter deck and the 2" stacks will work great!
