Extraneous Inertia Switch?

I have a mechanical fuel pump. Is the inertia switch useless to me? All I can tell is that the inertia switch turns off the fuel pump if triggered, but since mine isn't electric, it doesn't do anything, right?

Correct. Set it and the matching pigtail aside and watch the classifieds on both forums; every couple of months somebody is looking for one.
