Hello Roadsters, I am currently running a 1 groove v-belt set up on crank, water pump, alternator. I would like to look at possibly running a serpentine belt or a wide blower type of pulley and belt system. can anyone help me out with such a set up. Please send pictures if you can.

This is the system I am using.

It isn’t the cheapest system but are high quality and come complete with all the fasteners, belt, and detailed instructions

There are many complete set-ups to do what you are asking. I have a 1" wide belt system from Miller Speed that is killer (in my opinion). Remember that if you go serpentine you will have to also change the water pump to a "reverse rotation" one due to the belt routing.

A standard 5.0L setup will work on a 351W, using an idler pully in place of the A/C compressor:

Pretty easy to do. The crank and alt pulleys are very common. A grooved water pump pulley so you don't need to replace the pump is a little harder but March has one. Sorry I don't have the number from when I got one. Measure the distance across the 4 bolt circle so you can talk to the March sales guy. 6 years ago mine actually went out to the warehouse w/ a ruler to verify he had one that would work.

Go with a low enough mounted alternator / bracket or else need to route the rad hose up high.
which Sometimes causing air bubbles being that the radiator sits very low in these cars.
Just coming from experience. Engine Factory sells a ton of the pulleys on our turnkey engines.

It was a little pricey, but I also purchased the alternator with it and it was about $700 or so but he does a phenomenal job. It is very precise and Allistair is very knowledgeable and a super nice guy. You won't be disappointed. Check his videos out on YouTube.
