As the title says, I'm looking for pics of completed 818R model cars with the street windshield. I've been searching the forum and the web, but so far haven't turned up anything.
I ask because I've ordered my kit this way, but it'll be a few more months before I take delivery, and a few more to build it. Not sure I can wait that long to see how it'll look.

Hi Projectrally
To make you feel good, FFR Engineer Jim told me no problem swapping windshields.
To make you feel special, I believe you will be the first to do this.
That's why you haven't seen any pictures of this configuration.
Now you should feel like a guinea pig (experimental subject).
Happy building
Bob

Same thing Bob_n_Cincy said. I took delivery of my R with a street windshield last weekend. If I'm done before you I'll post pics of that. They supposedly fit great.

Adam, why wouldn't they look the same? Same body... just fixed doors that you jump or slide over! Drop an S an inch and there you go. Stop by already, you live within easy driving distance, I bet I could spend hrs talking and showing you stuff, bring a couple cold ones, I'm partial to Sam Adams Lager or almost any heavy but not dark local brew!

Dan, I'm mostly interested in seeing how much clearance there is between the windshield and the uppermost side bar coming down from the main roll hoop. Ingress and egress is fine even for a short guy like me in the regular R, but I'm really curious to see if it's going to change by adding a windshield.
And I'll definitely come see your S and bring beer. I'm away shooting with FFR all next week, but definitely after that!

planning on opening a door to get in? I don't think that it will matter much.

Ha! No, not opening a door. Just curious if my short little legs will clear the gap. I've gotten in and out of the blue R that Factory Five built a few times, and I can clear it pretty well, but I have to go most of the way up by the dash to be able to step over the bar, as that's where it's lowest. I'm curious if adding a windshield will pinch that area where I am able clear the bar to enter/exit.

I have an inversion table, perhaps we can stretch you out a bit! :p
