I am running a 4.6L and book says I need shallow oil pan. Any one have any suggestions on quart size, front or rear sump? I feel like I read somewhere it needs to be front sump but I'm not sure. Also brand suggestions...

Richard at North Race Cars has it covered. They make specific pans for all the modular motors designed for the Roadster.

When I purchased my kit I told them what engine I was using and I believe (need to check my order form for sure) it was included in the 4.6L kit. Mine came with the low profile oil pan. Shows up as Item #14766 $399, not exactly sure what else was included with it.

Factory Five does not supply oil pans for any engine combination any more. They did at one point but that stopped a couple years back. You have to go aftermarket now.
