Guys,

I am planning 245/60-15 front and 295/50-15 rear. I want to use Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R but sizes are imperial. Another forum a guy wanted to replace tires on his Superformance and said these are the sizes he needed...

26x10.0x15 (front) and 28x12.0x15 (rear)

Surely 28 for the rear is too big? I did a rough conversion and I think it should be 26x12.0x15, but I thought I would ask the experts here.

Thanks
Ian

Original sizes were 26.5x8.0x15 front & 26.5x10.5x15 rear. The 295/50-15 is about as close as you can get to the rear in a 15. Unless you go for the the original style tires. The sizes are deceiving because the 10.5 in the 26.5x10.5x15 represents the tread width. While the 295 represents the section width.

You are correct. In the SR the sizes are 26x10 front and 26x12 rear. The 28s would definitely be too big. Also be aware these are the sizes that fit a roadster. The coupe can run wider so you may end up wanting to use some spacers to get the tires out toward the fenders.
