If I remember right, some of you have modified the engine side panels in a way they you do not need to remove the headlight when removing or putting these panels on. I have my car up at the body shop for body fitment and wanted then to modify the panels if possible.

Any insight on how this can be done and still look great, please let me know. Pictures would be a huge plus if possible!

Thanks,

Charles

I'm not using the factory headlights but here's my mounting option. The piece I machine allows for the use of two roll pins that are used for alignment dowels to relocate the headlight when reinstalling after side panel removal or installation. You still need to remove the headlight to remove the panel but assembly maintains adjustment when removed.

Check my 33 build thread. You can see what I did. I cut a slit and made the side panel 2 piece so I can remove it and leave the headlight alone.
