As with so many I was not pleased with the vintage seats provided with my MK4. I am at the build stage where I really need to get seats for interior and pedal adjustments decisions. I was in L.A. last week and stopped into the Procar showroom. I want a comfortable sporty reclining seat and thought the Sportsman model might work. I got back to Utah and did a mock up and I don't think it will fit. Now I'm considering the Rally Series 1000 or possibly the Elite Lumbar Series 1200, although it is probably too wide at the seat wings (23"). I'm headed back to L.A. in two weeks and would really like to make a purchase but am gun shy about buying something that won't fit.

Are any of you using the Procar seats? If so, which model and what has your experience been like? Photos of your seat install would be even better. If you are using an alternative seat that works well, I will take any suggestions. Please guys, I desperately need some help here.

Reclining seat? Good luck with that! I'm sure others will confirm that 23" wide seats will not fit in the roadster; just measured mine at the floor and have only about 21-22" at the widest point and less than that between the seat belt brackets.

Go to Kirkey's website and look at the intermediate roadrace seat. Look at the shop drawings for the 17 in wide version. Note that this is generally considered to be the widest seat that will fit and even it needs a little help w/ the shoulder wings. this may give you an idea of the overall space available.

Have you looked at the Cobra seats at Sube Sports? Last I checked, none of the Procar seats fit.
