Anyone have any experience or ideas on what to use to seal all the rivet holes and imperfections with some of the aluminum fitment? I was thinking seam sealer, didn't know if that's what I should use? If so what's better the sealer in the tube or in the paint can?

Stick with the clear silicone. It's cheap and easy and bonds to bare aluminum better then seam sealers would....da Bat

X2 plus..... Apply generously. I've seen it applied like it was hundred dollars a inch, which does not do the job of keeping out the weather

X3 for the clear silicone. You can't find anything that is more forgiving. It is removable after months without leaving a stain. Be careful putting anything on the aluminum that may react with it. The silicone is inert and does a great job. As mentioned: don't be stingy with it. You can take off the excess later by either rubbing off with a cloth or using a razor blade to even the edges. This is one aspect of the build you don't need to experiment with or re-invent the wheel, so to speak. WEK.

GE Silicone II. Clean up with plain ol' rubbing alcohol.

I went a different route - I used 3M clear seam sealant. It is available at most body shop supply houses and comes in both squeeze tube (like toothpaste) and caulk gun tubes. I then added on a layer of brush-on 3M seam sealant over the top of all of the hidden overlaps - i.e., anything that is going to be under the carpet in the cockpit and the trunk.
