I just received my 2014 Summer/Fall Edition Sportscar Market Price Guide and thought I'd share current prices of original cars.

1962-63 Cobra 260: 75 cars built $675,000 - $775,000
1963-65 Cobra 289: 580 cars built $775,000 - $995,000
1965-67 Cobra 427: 260 cars built $850,000 - $1,050,000
1965-67 Cobra 427 S/C: 27 cars built $1,700,000 - $2,000,000
1964 Daytona Coupe: 6 cars built $10,000,000 - $12,000,000

Really amazing! The car in the picture is a Factory Five, owned by the President of Summit Racing.

If I only knew that in 1974. I had a chance to buy a 289 cobra for $7500.00 but thought that was too much. LOL!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I can drive a car similar to the originals and be able to drive it like I stole it! That's priceless!!!!! WEK.

In 1970 my Dad's boss took him fishing in his cobra. My dad doesn't know anything about the car other than that it had a 7 liter engine!

I road in an original in 1969 (427) in a beer run accross the Bonneville Salt flats and back. At that time the road was just a two lane blacktop for 80 miles. Unbelivable ride! I can drive my FFR all over, and if I had an original I would be nervous about taking it out of the garage. I can remember when Harr Ford in Worcester couldn't give Cobras away.

Priceless is right! Here's my car parked next to an original 260-engined slab side at this year's Keels and Wheels Concours d' Elegance.

That original was beautiful, and the owner used to race in the 70's. But now the car is trailer queen. At the end of the weekend, the owner drove his Cobra back on to his trailer (yawn).

But I got to enjoy driving my car back home! :)
