Is it possible i got the wrong roll of weatherstriping ?? I'm supposed to have enough to go down frame rails from the firewall to the end of the frame at the front, and the curved trunk hoop. The roll that I have (that has been expanding since I cut the tape holding it in tight roll) is only bout 7 ft long. Is there something I can buy locally instead of calling FFR tomorow ??

That's not what you use on the frame rails. What you have shown is supposed to seal the gap between the footbox sides and body (and does a pi$$ poor job of it---see my Mk4 build thread below for an alternative using window air conditioner weatherstrip foam). The strip for on top of the rails is ~3/4" wide by 3/8" thick. You should have gotten it.

Jeff....thks for the quick reply...I have seen those pics before, possibly going thru edwardb's build site where he referenced your foam fix...bought a bag of that already... the only other rolls I have are the bulb seal, side bulb seal and one other roll of channel like stuff..guess I gotta take one more look in my dead parts area. The inventory list for box 2A does say it should be in a box.

Most times it's in a brown box about 12inX12inX3/4 . Much more then you will use but cheaper for FFR then breaking it down.,,Bat
