Huge huge news today from the CF Foundation regarding a new medicine that has been shown to be extremely effective in treating children with Cystic Fibrosis. The stage 3 clinical trials were a huge success in treating kids with Jenny's exact type of CF (Delta 508F). Denise and I are absolutely overjoyed as this new medicine is as close to a cure as an effective therapy can be!

I had a chance to say thank you for fundraising efforts on behalf of Jenny at Spring Fling Cobra Cruise-In, London, Ohio 2001.

Many of you have known my daughter Jenny since she was born with CF 15 years ago. Many of you have also worked hard and donated generously to the CF Foundation and CF research. I just returned from the London Cobra Show where the folks out there have raised close to $1 million over the years for kids like Jenny.

We have watched CF families lose children to this horrible disease, and Jenny has fought hard and endured many hospital stays in her own fight. Today is a GREAT day, and I simply wanted to bring you the news and tell you how deeply grateful we are for the generosity, kindness, and prayers of so many friends. You can read more on the CF Foundations website here - http://bit.ly/UKqBmr. I've included some recent photos of Jenny so that all of you can see how well she has grown!

Wow, I am almost in tears and I don't even know your daughter. I'll hug my daughter a little harder tonight.

Thx for showing the "personal" Dave, I see the "car" Dave a lot but the personal Dave is even more of an inspiration. Refreshing to know your job as a Dad is forefront above all else. No matter what comes of Factory Five, your kids will have much more to look up to then just the man behind the brand.

This is fantastic news Dave! They told us about the success of the latest drug at the LCS dinner on Saturday night. Ever since first meeting her in London (I'm just to your left in the first photo) back when she was such a little thing wondering why all of these people were clapping for her your Jenny has held a very special place in my heart. As always she will remain in my prayers.

Great news and I wish the best to you and your family! CF shows no favorites and can bring families closer together (or split them apart). One family lost their little angle at 6 to CF while another watched their daughter grow into a beautiful woman, get married and then need a double lung transplant. The second recovered from surgery faster than any other patient ever at Stanford then went on to climb Half Dome in Yosemite 9 months later! You and your family are another example that I can tell others about as I drive my roadster. Thanks for the great news Dave.
