I have a question regarding my passenger side front wheel bearing. I have double checked the torque on my front wheel bearings and all suspension components but there is a funny sound coming from the PS front suspension when I go over a bump or jack the front of the car up (unload the suspension). I have greased all of the grease points but still I have a funny sound that is similar to a creaking door but very short in duration. Could this be a wheel bearing that is not properly seated?

Has anyone experienced a similar sound and what was the source?

I eliminated a squeak from the DS which turned out to be the exhaust (header to J-pipe connection) but the sound from the front PS is more of a creak as described above. If necessary I will dismantle my front PS suspension, inspect all parts and reinstall. My car only has ~ 5000mi and all new parts so unless there is a defective part (ball joint etc) this may be an improperly seated wheel bearing. I am not sure it is possible to improperly install a wheel bearing?? The wheel rotation, steering, suspension and brakes are all functioning very well (except for a creak sound).

Thoughts

Thx

I disassembled and lubed my LCA bushings (between rubber bushing and inner metal sleeve, and btn rubber bushing and frame mounts) and my noises went away. I used suspension grease. I don't know if this will work for you. Good luck!

Nat - Great suggestion - I will give this a try before dismantling the entire front PS suspension.
