This will be our first year going to the Open House. We will be debuting this interior and stereo system. Hopefully the weather is great and the turnout is good!

Nice! I won't be able to make the open house, but I'd love to see how the car turns out. Do you mind sharing the details of your stereo setup (control head, amp, speakers, etc)? I'm at the go kart stage now and about to install a stereo. I've already got a set of kicker ks693 6x9s, but haven't picked up the other components yet.

Cheers,
Noel

Any chance you will be attending the London Cobra Show next week? I'd love to take a look!

I own a professional car audio shop out of North Chelmsford, MA. We are an authorized Hertz/Audison and Kenwood Excelon retailer, so that is what is going in this car(mine).

We are doing Hertz Hi-Energy XL 6.5" components in the front and a single Hertz Energy 8" subwoofer slot loaded against the rear firewall in between the seats. A Hertz HDP5 amplifier will power everything and a Kenwood Excelon DDX491HD double din will be the source unit.

With the location and volume of the exhaust, coupled with the fact that there is no top, it is not easy to make sound that you will not only hear over the exhaust and road noise, but over the exhaust as well. The front speakers are the loudest speaker that Hertz makes while retaining sound quality. The amplifier will provide 200x2 watts to the XL's, and the sub will get 550 watts.

you can see in the picture where the tweeters will be placed. The mids will be located in aluminum boxes firing up directly in front of the seats.

I expect this to be one of the loudest, if not the loudest, stereo in a FFR cobra to date.

I will be bringing the car to every possible show that I can in an effort to provide other cobra owners the luxury of a modern interior and a hi quality stereo.

Can you give me more information about that show?

Thanks
-Scott
