As in most steps in this build so far, I have run into a problem attempting to install my '02 WRX donor fuel pump (modified as per FFR directions) into the 818 fuel tank. The pump is removed from the Subaru via about a 5 inch by 8 inch access plate. The round assembly hole in the new tank is only about 3 inches wide. In attempting to jam the pump assembly into the tank, I ended up breaking off the pickup sock plastic union. I will now have to try to repair the bottom of the pump and somehow squeeze the rectangular shaped sock into the round hole. I don't know why FFR never mentions this kind of problem in the assembly manual.
