A lot of you remember almost a year ago when Jack Bolding and his daughter were involved in a terrible accident while driving his roadster. Jack was killed in the accident and Jamee was seriously injured. Here is an update on her status copied from the careing bridge site:
Hey everybody this is Jamee. I want to thank all of you for the warm wishes and prayers, it has helped so much! Sorry the site hasn't been updated since July, I've been very busy.
Well the update is I am feeling great!!! No complaints here. I can walk and sleep in my own bed, thank goodness. I had another surgery on my right elbow in February because it was stuck at a 90 degree angle from extra bone that was growing in. The doctor shaved off the excess and took out all the metal in that arm and I even got to keep the metal. My arm still doesn't want to move much so I go to therapy three days a week to help stretch it out and get it massaged hehehe. I got two splints to also help the extension and flexon in my elbow, so it gets a longer stretch throughout the day. Overall it's not bad, just heavy.
I am scheduled for eye surgery at UCLA in the end of May, which I am looking forward to. I have double vision, so they are hoping to correct it. My right eye can't quite move all the way towards the right because the muscle was damaged. So they are going to take some muscle from above and below my eye and move it to the side so then hopefully I can move my eye and they work together and get rid of the double vision.
I'm back at school and it's going good. Just starting out with two classes this semester and possibly increasing as time goes on. I'm also back to cooking, which everyone loves : ) and with school, cooking, and doctor appointments, I stay pretty busy. But it's always nice to just relax.
So, I thank you all again for everything, it means the world to me and my family.
Let us all keep Jamee in our prayers for her future surgury and the one year anniversary of the accident on April 24th.
