I'm not happy with the way the dashboard vinyl came out and want to redo it.
I'm sure I can find a similar material or leather at a fabric shop.
I used Super 77 spray glue.
Any ideas on how to remove the vinyl that I already glued?
I was thinking of soaking the whole thing in mineral spirits or turpentine.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I can't help w/ the removal but I understand a very good match for the FFR vinyl is available at Joanne's Fabric. Hopefully there is one near you.

I re-covered my dash after my first pass was below expectations. Removing the vinyl and glue was no big issue.
I used a drywall scraper to remove the vinyl and foam under pad then used a glue remover (Goo-Gone) to remove the glue followed by acetone for final clean-up
Good luck

I went to Joanne's after I read your message and they had a vinyl that looks just like leather. Doesn't have the padding that the FFR material has, but I think I'll use it anyhow.
Thanks

Yeah, I picked up two bottles of goo gone. I guess I was thinking that if I soak it for a few hours, the fabric will just peel off.
Thanks

I have the FFR vinyl fabric included with my Mk4 untouched still in the roll. Used Alex's glovebox and vinyl, so no use for the FFR supplied material. PM with an offer I can't refuse and it's yours if interested.

Thanks, but I got some foam and vinyl from Joann's and everything went smoothly. Thanks for the offer anyhow.

Peal off the vinyl covering before applying the goo-gone. You want the goo-gone to soften the adhesive not lay on top of the vinyl.
