Has anyone given consideration to carrying a spare tire? I'd like to find a way to carry at least a donut spare at some times. Flat tires in remote areas in the middle of the night are a lot worse with no spare. I know a can of fix a flat is a good idea, but that doesn't always work and a real spare is good insurance.

I have a similar plan. I'll at least make sure the trunk can fit the donut, ideally a flat full size, but at this point I'm waiting to see what spaces are available as I get further along. Perhaps this highlights a benefit to the short diameter tires we have, lol. Fitting it somewhere. I'm hoping to shoehorn it in somewhere.

My new car did not come with a spare tire, just a can of a fix-a-flat material. Most in the roadster community do not carry spares, just a AAA card or similar.

I've had flats a couple times where not having a spare would have turned a small headache into a big one, so even as a AAA member, I'd like to be prepared. I started carrying a full size spare in my Subaru many years ago.

Glad to see at least one other person that wants a trunk big enough for a full size spare. I'd like to add as much cargo capacity as possible.

I am hoping to fashion a donut spare mount over the transmission. We'll see if it works.

I plan to carry a patching kit and a very small compressor.
