Hey Gang!
I've been looking at this kit for a while and am just a few weeks away from starting to amass parts for the build.
I'm just getting down the home stretch on another Subie powered build. I have a Porsche 914 that I've been converting and restoring for the last 6-mos. ( http://bit.ly/1o9FhWK ) Very similar concept and geometry. (Mid-engine, lightweight, 2 seater, targa, etc.) Once that's out of the way in storage for the winter, the 818 is on my build-list.
I'm curious if anyone knows of a car in Cleveland OH or Atlanta GA that I could take a look at and/or drive. I want to make sure this is what I'm looking for before I start dropping $ on everything. I tend to go a little deep and over-do things when I'm building a car. I spent about $2K re-building the EJ 20 I have not with forged everything on a top/bottom rebuild. I'm expecting about 350HP on the 914.
Having 2 mid-engine, Subie powered 2-seaters could be a lot of fun. At least the wife could drive one kid around while I'm driving the other.
Anyways...that's a long introduction. Hope to be hearing from people and having my own build-thread at some point.
