Hi everybody,

I disassembled a 2004 "Blob eye" WRX 2.0 and I have a problem with the pedal box.
They don't fit on the 818R and are very different then on the pictures in the manual.

Does somebody else have this problem?

Attached are the pictures.

Thanks in advance.

The car that I disassembled came from Europe....

You are going to have to make them work or get a pedal assembly from a US car. FFR used US cars for their mock ups IMO.

Hm. That must be where the difference comes from. Sorry man; I don't have much insight to provide here.

You could probably make this work. Maybe you could bolt those down to the firewall. It'd be more stable than the FFR mount likely anyway, from what I've seen.

Hi Speed Freak

I'm using an Aus spec 2012 WRX. That clutch looks pretty similar to the one I just fitted. Man that brake pedal looks pretty strange though.
As the guys have said above, they look like they should bolt up to the firewall without too many issues, just the rear support to worry about. Had the same issue but when they bolt up to the firewall I just drilled new holes to accommodate.
You'll probably be ok once you bolt them up, I think you should be ok to just cut that rod brace off the brake pedal.

How did you install the clutch pedal?
Because I think i have a problem with the clutch master cylinder (also little bit different than in the manual).....see attached picture

I think that I need to make an pedal box on my own, so everything is mounted on a plate I guess......
Thanks for the replies guys, if somebody else or FFR have a other solution (or same problem) please let me know

A full set of pedals are like $100 on eBay.

Your clutch master cylinder might work out better than the one that's supposed to be there. It looks like it has a chance of mounting to a USDM clutch pedal bracket and the remote reservoir would be great so you could fill it without cutting up the windshield surround.

Yeah I agree with Jamie, master with the remote reservoir should work out well by just relocating.
My pedals looked totally different to the ones in the manual as they were all mounted separately to the firewall and didn't have the 'joining shaft' shown in the manual.

As for the clutch pedal mounting. To get the pedal to line up with the brake I cut those two spacers off the bolts that go against the inside of the firewall. This allowed the pedal to move forward 3/4" (they were just spot welded at the top) once I notched a section about "3/4"x3/4" out of the bottom corner of mounting bracket to clear the frame on the cockpit side of the firewall.

Mines a RHD model but I think the mounting configuration would be the same, just slid from the LH to the RH. I'll post a couple of pics in the morning.

Thanks for the information, pics would be great!
So I should replace the clutch master cilinder directly towards the pedal?
(Not mounted at the holes that FFR mentioned)

And for the brake pedal I need to make a bracket on my own?
