Hello all, my name is Mike and I'm a Firefighter/Intermediate in Chesapeake, VA. My Father and I are very interested in purchasing a Mark IV as a project in the next year or so and hope to learn a lot from this forum, maybe even contribute some as well.

Hey Mike welcome to the forum. I'm a fellow FF/PM as well out in LA. I will be taking delivery of my mk4 next month so if you have any questions give me a hollar. This is a great forum to help you start your journey...lots and lots of knowledge and information. Good luck with everything.

Hi (out in the woods) Mike. I saw your post and you live just down the road from me, I'm in Newport News, Va. I just took the plunge and committed to the MK-4 build, parts are arriving daily and the car will be here just after 1/1/15. The motor is a 385 series 429 and is scheduled for pick-up tomorrow.
I'll provide more details as we go along and I would like to encourage you and your Father to build one as well and we can compare war-stories.
Oh, the out in the woods line is something I heard long ago about the Moyock area and a radio station.
