I replaced the stock OEM mustang alternator from the donor with a 1-wire solution. I also bought the Ron Francis wiring harness from Factory Five and the ECM & EFI harness from Chuck's Roadster Electrics.

I'm trying to figure out how to connect the 1-wire alternator to my setup.

Instructions from Ron Francis state : "Run the alternator wires along the top of the engine to the alternator". What wires? I can't use the donor setup & none came with Ron Francis.

Instructions from Chuck's Roadster Electrics state nothing. So I think his application doesn't connect tot he alternator.

Any suggestions & photos would be appreciated.

Actually, the Ron Francis harness does include the alternator leg. It's one of the longer ones and should have a tag on it. It has two large lugs and one smaller wire. If you peel back the convolute, you'll see they're all attached together about 12 inches back from the end. Remove the added wires and connect one of the large wires to your one wire alternator. You may have to install the proper lug. Originally, these alternators also had a small connector for the low voltage warning light and also voltage exciter. Often neither are used or are required.

Found it. I had it tucked down below & secured since I'd shipped the unfinished beast last year. Thanks!
