I'm getting ready to start thinking about buying a Coupe (maybe I need a few more qualifiers in there).
How easy is it to retrofit Lava Mat (or equivalent) and the carpet package, if necessary? I'm guessing it's a project but pretty straightforward. Are the factory carpeting pieces large enough to fit over insulation?
Can the factory A/C be retrofitted. I'm guessing this is a MAJOR thing to do, if it can be done at all.
Going to try to make it to the Cobra show in London OH next month.
Will post again when I'm ready.

I have a roadster but the layout is very similar. I can tell you that the added insulation (I added even another layer) can be problematic in very critical areas like the seat belt anchors, seat sliders if you have them, and the e brake handle area if you are side mounted. The insulation does give you more overlap for the carpet. You may have to cut the edge of a piece to fit perfectly. If you use the old pieces as a template you can size the new carpet and save some money by not having to buy a precut carpet kit. You can find better quality carpet cheaper and cut it to custom fit using the old as templates. Try this without them and you will see how hard it is! Sorry, can't help on the A/C.
Good luck,
WEK.

Greg,
I am just finishing this on my coupe now. When I bought mine in '05, I don't think carpet was offered. I went with a nylon loop from ACC. Here's a link.

With shipping, it was about $160.00
It's not that difficult, just lots of razor blades for trimming. They dull real quickly. I bought 5 yards, but 4 may have done it. I have quite a bit left over, but still need to do the floors around the seats. I covered the entire hatch area and all of the tunnel and foot boxes. I also have a layer of DynaMat and a 3/8" foam insulation below the carpet
