I am building a MK4 complete kit with manual brakes and a hydraulic clutch set up.

would love opinions and photos of what fluid reservoirs to use / not use.

I currently have one single of the stainless steel ones that comes with the complete kit. (smaller version of the radiator overflow tank) (tube shaped)

Has anyone used 3 of these F5 stainless ones ? one for front/back brakes and clutch?

Looking for placement ideas as well.

Thanks!

Jeff

Posted the same over on the other forum, but will post here also as some don't go to both. Many, myself included, have used the reservoirs from CNC. Decent quality, look good, more than adequate capacity, and a very nice option for a bleeder cap that makes pressure bleeding a breeze. I've used them on both of my builds. This is the triple on my Mk4, including the hydraulic clutch. This mounting location is also probably one of the more common. Easy access once the hood is open. Mounting on the firewall also works, but with the body on access is a little more difficult. This picture was before I had the hoses installed. But they're a straight shot from here. The CNC's use a standard NPT fitting (don't remember the size) but easy to get whatever fitting you need, e.g. nipple, AN, etc.

Here another version not quite as fancy as the CNC but a more of a period look ... make sure to use hoses that are made for hydraulic fluid ...

Here are the photos of the finished system. From the PS:

Ready for fluid and bleeding when I get the car down on the jack stands ...

Hello,
If size is an issue for you as it was for me with my massive custom coyote I had to go with triple unit from Scott's Hot Rods. His unit is great due to its size and that it has both bottom and back discharge ports. Don't forget to get an extra cap to use for pressure bleeding.
Regards,
Andy

Thanks for the replies and photos. Does anyone have any opinion on the stainless one that comes with the mk4 complete kit? I was considering using 3 of them and making a custom bracket, but am not sure if they are good quality and if I can upgrade the fittings for them that aren't plastic like they come with....
