I'm not a moderator but I was wondering if there was an interesting in trying to enforce some kind of standard for build threads. It would be very helpful to track the [thankfully] many build threads we now have in here if people used some kind of edited title.

I won't call these "options" but rather suggestions to the community:

John Doe's 818 AutoX Build
becomes
[90%, Fuel System] John Doe's 818 AutoX Build
or perhaps
John Doe's 818 AutoX Build [90%, Paint and Bodywork]

Thoughts?

Sometimes the OP (Original Poster) will update a thread title as they go. Erik Hansen is doing that. When he started doing it I thought it was a separate thread!

I think it's a good idea, and it does kind of give you an idea of what the major portion of the thread is about but don't see a way to enforce it. I'd love to hear what others have to say on the subject...

I think it's easy enough to click the last page and see what they're working on. If the title keeps changing it can get confusing as to what you've read and what you haven't and what's a new thread vs just a new title.

Plus I don't even know how to change the title! :-)

Craig, if it was added to the current thread title it may not be confusing

Wouldn't changing the title play havoc with bookmarks we might have?

Bookmarks ignore the title portion. Try this:

However, it might screw up Google search rankings.
