Hi,
My son and I are going to go down to the shop tomorrow and begin the adventure of building a mk4 by ordering up a kit. Sorry in advance for all the questions to follow :)

Welcome Kris,

Sorry? No way! That's what we're here for. I have asked so many questions, I can probably never pay back but it's fun trying.

What are you and your son's plans for the roadster? I love to hear particulars.

Have fun.

WEK.

Welcome to the forum Kris. Like WEK said, your questions will always be answered. Tell us some more about your build plans and where you are located.

So far we're thinking a complete kit with Coyote, IRS, both rollbars, and the wilwoods (red ) since they are 50% off why not right ? Who knows what else we'll see in the morning :) Probably black and white ( or a more subtle grey stripes ) for colors and my son is thinking white seats with black striping. I need to find a place to do that, I think it could come out nice.

The only think I know so far is the end is a long ways away and anything could change.

Kris and son-

Welcome to the coolest club you will ever belong to. As the others have already told you, no need to apologize. I cannot count the number of questions (many, many stupid ones to boot) that I asked that were patiently answered by this great group of folks!

I know how exciting this part of the build is, as you make all of the plans, and try to compile all of the ideas that are swirling through your head. The good news is that there are hundreds of people here who have done likewise, and are always ready to help.

Where are you all located? Another plus if you are interested, is there are always people who are willing to come to you and help with a particular chore, or if a particular problem is vexing you.

In any event, I wish you all the best as you move forward, and please keep us updated on your progress.

Best of luck!

Regards,

Steve

hmm it won't let me edit my profile yet probably just some lag in enabling.

Anyway, We are up in NH which is why I'm get to drive down in the morning and order in person. I'm hoping for a fall/winter project and we'll see how it goes. We've , like everyone, been debating for a while and it's time !
