Kill ABS light in cluster...How to?

I do vaguely remember reading something in a post. Used search, but cannot find what I need. So please...

With all ABS and ABS controller removed my ABS light comes on. How can I put it to sleep?

Pin B3 going into the cluster gets pulled high to turn off the abs light.

I suggest jumpering the red/white from pin C7 to pin B3.

A further question Bob. Looking page WI 87, it appears that jumpering C7 to B3 provides (or substitutes) the feed thru that is normally provided by the LED light....which only goes to ABS control module B301 pin 22....but the ABS control module does not exist any longer. Am I missing something (distinctly possible!!!).

The abs signal wire to cluster must be removed completely to turn the light off. Trace it back through the harness and remove it and the ground the follows it's path.There is a red wire ( signal wire, might be red and white. I will have to look it up ) with a black ground from the controller through the opposite side of the harness than the bulk of the controllers wires travel. I removed these along with all controller wires, the unit and sensor wires and I have no abs light on dash. So trace the wire you removed back, I bet the signal wire is still grounded or something silly.

I remove the LED in the cluster when the mileage was reset to 0. There is some code that needs to be in the right sequence to kill the light. It may be posible in the EEPROM code to do it but unsoldering it out was easier.

It is not a feed through the cluster. Think of the cluster as a inverse light bulb.

Pin c7 is only ignition power to the cluster.

ABS fault signal comes out of pin 22 of the ABS and into bin B3 of the cluster.
Remove the Lg/Y wire between the cluster and ABS if you haven't already.

12v on pin b3 will turn off the light.
Ground or (not connected) on pin B3 will turn on the light.

PS: They make that way as a safety feature. If the ABS fuse blows, the light comes on to warn the driver.

I read somewhere that the polarity of the ABS light signal changed. I think it was between 03 and 04. If connecting it high doesn't work, try ground.

My setup was 02 so it is prob different for the later years. I believe you can tune it out also.

You all may laugh at what I did but it worked. I just installed black silicone in where the led was and no more light. It is only cheating if you get caught. LOL.

No. The ECU is not involved in the ABS light in any way.
