I was looking at the frame of the Coupe this past weekend and wondered if anyone has built a rotisserie for the Coupe. I have one I use for the roadsters, but it won't work in the current configuration for the Coupe. I think if I tie to the quad shock mounts in the rear and the upper control arm mounts on the front it would be doable. What do y'all think?

I just took my frame off of the rotisserie that I built. I kinda cobbled it together with some material I had laying around the shop so its nothing to look at. It was only built for light duty so it came off the frame before it got too heavy, but it worked very well. Here are a few pictures that will give you some idea. 293882938929390
Don't judge my welds, the wire feed was barely working, mostly not.

I used this rotisserie for a couple cars. Easy to chop up steel and build in afternoon:

If you get it close you can make a simple weight and balance calculation and determine exactly how much you would need to move it to make it on center.
When you are real close, I weld on a pipe bracket and hold on extra weights with a piece of threaded pipe. Things can change as you add equipment, paint etc. It's nice to adjust balance. You can see the weights here:

Burner and Bradyman-

I like your work here! I think the thing I like most about each of them is the simplicity. They are elegant solutions, yet not over-engineered, or superfluous parts, etc.

Burner, your addition of a place to stack weights is a fantastic idea. Much better idea than trying to tie it down or secure it somehow.

Tom- Do you have a picture of what you used for the Roadsters?

I would really like to see how you put it together, and how easy it is to work on once assembled. Thanks in advance.

Burner, that's a really neat idea with the weights. On my roadster rotisserie I had it balanced ok, but with the Spec Racer frame on it, it was tougher to spin.

Steve, here are some pictures. Just two cheap engine stands with a wider base and bigger wheels and a 2x8.

When I do mine I eye ball them. Of course I am never right on. At that point I do a quick weight and balance which is fairly easy then cut and re-weld the mount. I am usually pretty close at that point.

All you have to do is estimate the weight of that which is suspended, then turn it on it's side and measure a weight at a specific distance. The accuracy will depend on how close you are on the overall weight:
