I like the cleaner look and was hoping someone could help me know if these

would be strong enough for use on the hood and rear deck? I plan to track the car during DE events etc so I would expect to see 100 mph at times. Thank you in sharing.

I believe those are the same ones Wayne used, check the last page or two of his build thread.

I took some time last night after work to do some finishing touches on my car. I got some black Quik-Latches, these are the newest ones and have 25% more holding strength than the originals. Put them in and they look great.

so pushing the button in the middle of these causes the fastener to release and pops up the trunk enough to get your fingers under and lift? Or do you have to pair these with a spring or gas strut somehow?
you guys are seriously killing my "budget" and my kit doesn't arrive until September! haha. These are really slick looking though. Nice find.

I used these on my hotrod fellas. They work great. They sell extra springs you can add to the mechanism if you want more resistance when you push down on the part to be fastened. I also recommend buying the buckets that the threaded rod screws in to, just adds more stability.

Hi all,
Just curious if anyone has used these Quik Latches on a roadster? If so, how did you attach the pins and bucket to the body? Photos would be awesome if anyone has used them. Many thanx.

Only the black ones are 25% stronger?
So these are not? http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/qul-ql-25-sb/overview/

Summit says those ones are black, even though the picture is silver.
