I have a pair of those small inner wheel well splashguards from Darkwater - the ones that fill the gap between the body and chassis in front of the rear wheels (near the door latch) and I'm trying to decide if I can install them before I put the body on.

If you have them on your car, did you install them before or after the body?

It looks like there's room to pull the body out past them when installing it, but I want to make sure I'm not imagining things and would like to hear from someone who actually did it.

I've not used them Chris but my instinct is to install them AFTER the body and doors are locked into position. There is a lot of in/out adjustment to the lower edge of the body that comes into play when making the final door fit and if these are in place beforehand they could (A) restrict that or (B) not be located for an optimum seal.

Cheers,
Jeff

Just to clarify - I pre-fit these when the body was on before (including with the doors and everything else in place). But, I'm not sure if the body will fit over the top of them.

So, the real question is, does anyone know if the body can be pulled far enough out to pass over these if they're installed before the body goes on?

I think the real question is, do you want to take the chance to pull it apart enough considering the pretty paint job you have just gotten. I wouldn't!!! This might be a good place to install after the body with some slotted screw holes to insure a perfect tight fit. JMO, WEK.

I used the remaining length of the thick foam provided by FFR for the area between the body and foot box. Easily installed with the body on - expands and fills this gap perfectly.
