Fuel tank question?

Is the FFR tank with the coupe kit basically a mustang Tank? Has there been issues with them leaking? I have heard of leaks with the 33 tank but not the roadster TMK. Thanks for any info. I want to use the FFR tank this time and not spend the extra $ on a Boyd tank.

FFR has used two different fuel tanks that I know of: the aluminum squared one (which is essentially a fuel cell), and the stamped-steel version (which resembles the Mustang tank). I don't have any experience with this fuel cell, but the steel tank is out-sourced, and the same that is sold through American Muscle and Late Model Restoration Supply (both Mustang restoration parts dealers). I can tell you that this tank is of high quality, made with the same tooling Ford used, and I've never personally had or heard anyone having any issues with them.

Thanks. After watching the all women's build on TV today I saw that the tank is a nice piece.
