I am experiencing big problems in getting clearance at the thrust bearing to RAM diaphram clutch. The only way so far that I have got clutch release is to have the pedal drop 4 inches in front of the brake pedal . Adjusting the clutch with the thrust race at minimal clearance and the pedal in approx alignment to the brake pedal doesnt work as the clutch arm fowls the 1 inch chassi member. I have tried making spacers at the firewall and at the bellhousing with little to no improvement The only thing that I can think may make a difference is to adjust the pivot ball inside the bellhousing (a transmission out requirement) to its furthest out condition But I am not sure whether this will be the answer. I checked with RAM clutches to make sure my clutch is compatible with with my set up (302 T5)
Has anybody experienced this problem and is there a solution. Having my knee under my chin to work the clutch doesnt make it
