Am I allowed to mention Breeze in a thread? Couldn't see them in Vendors.
I'd like some suggestions on which Breeze parts are worth considering. I am in Canada and would like, if possible, to make just one order as I need to consider shipping costs, tax, duty etc. to keep cost down!
Definite parts so far:
Stainless roll bars
Engine bay battery holder
For info, I have ordered the complete MK4 kit (canada version) with missing parts coming seperately. Engine is Ford 351W (427CI) and TKO-600 transmission. I already have my rear end and have sourced Baer parts to upgrade the brakes.
Thanks guys
Ian

How about a mini-starter, power steering rack, and hard radiator hoses? Just go on line and check off anything that you have on you wish list that they carry. You may find the same part a little cheaper somewhere else but you will save on shipping if you ship everything at once and you can’t find better service than from Breeze.

for my soon-to-start build, I bought:
-the battery tray kit for engine bay mounting
-accelerator pedal
-radiator shroud and a bunch of radiator mounting hardware so as to not have to mount radiator to body
-pre-cut koolmat kit

Thanks Ed. I am going to check out all those parts.
Bill, I am not sure what rad hoses come with the kit. What's a mini starter? I have decided against power steering.
Pylons, does the kit not come with an accelerator pedal?

Everything I have bought from Breeze has been outstanding ... the eze packs contain everything you need. Mark is great to work with on special issues as well and can customize the kits for your particular needs.
In addition to EdwardB's list, I would recommend the #70663 Cockpit Storage Cubby Kit for Mk2 - Mk4 Roadster specially if you are not going to put in a glove box.

There are radiator hoses that come with the kit, but the Breeze hard hoses are a very nice upgrade. The kit does come with an accelerator pedal but in a lot of builder's estimation as well as the build school is that it is worthy of being upgraded as well.
The mini starter is just a small version of the original.
My parts list from Breeze looks very much like Ed's.

Pylons, does the kit not come with an accelerator pedal?
It does, but it seems that no one, including the build school instructors, like the FF one very much.
The Russ Thompson one (which is what I got through breeze), however, seems to be universally loved.

X3 (or whatever the count is) on the Russ Thompson accelerator. I have that on my Mk4 as well. Just isn't on the list I posted earlier because it had already been purchased by the original owner of my Mk4. It's a popular upgrade because it's perfect for these builds and a huge upgrade over the supplied Lockar piece.

What's a mini starter?
Standard starter on the left. Mini starter on the right.

Mini starter is smaller (duh) plus has an integral solenoid. They've been standard equipment for many years now, so not unusual. Mark sells one, but they're available at your local parts store as well. Kind of a commodity item, unless you're going for performance brands like Powermaster, etc. Really not necessary unless you have a high compression setup or just like to spend more money. I have a generic Visteon on my Mk3, and a slightly higher end Bosch on my Mk4. Both spin the engines with ease.

Ed,
I'm not sure what some of your items are..
10 AN, 06 AN - what are these?
side pipe adjustment wedge - what are these for (obviously to do with side pipes!!)

10 AN and 06 AN are fittings for my power steering installation. If you're not doing PS, then ignore. Wedges go between the headers and side pipes to align the side pipes in/out to the body. There's no way to know if you need them or which ones you may need until you get to that point of the build.
BTW, from the Breeze website, you can enter the part numbers in the search window and Mark does a great job of showing what the parts look like and what they're for.

Caboosing on to an older thread here. :)
The added useful storage space of a cubby is a fantastic feature to add to any roadster.
This year (2016) we modified the trunk divider panel in this kit to fit the Mk4 Roadster w/o trimming. (Mk4 is lower than the Mk1 - 3.1's)
For the month of December 2016 we have decided to offer free domestic shipping on this item and anything else that can fit in the box, (36" x 12" x 4").
Other popular items that can go in the box are the 70551 Lower Radiator Support, 70558 HD Upper shroud and radiator mount, various Cooling Hose and Tube Kits, 70634 Solid Offset Rack Mounting Kit, 70648 Big Bore Vent Check Valve Kit, 70753 Dead Pedal Kit, and 70031 or 70696 Radiator Cowl Cover Kit.
Take advantage of the opportunity to add this feature to your roadster. This is a no-brainer!

Since this has been brought to the top again I'll chime in. I've used a bunch of Mark's stuff on my own as well as cars that I've done for others---the parts and components are all first rate, his instructions are clear and concise and you can't beat his service. Quick example---a few years ago I called and placed an order when we got in the car to drive back to Indiana from Florida. We stopped and spent the night mid way and when we arrived back home the following afternoon the box from Breeze was waiting by the door :)

I have known Mark since 2000, when I purchased my roadster from FFR. Many parts were purchased at that time which are still in use today with never a problem in quality. I'm still buying parts today for my "GEN 2" Coupe from Breeze. If you have a question about any of the items he sells give him a call for honest advise. Everything Breeze sells is well thought out to assist in your build and compliment your creation. I use the Breeze website for ideas that are out of the box for building something different and better often. Many of the Breeze Paks are made and machined better then the average home builder could do by themselves and saves valuable time while your building. Breeze Automotive is a loyal vendor for Factory Five Racing!!!!

Another positive review for Mark and his parts. The directions are outstanding and his support is great also. He has fielded many stupid questions from me over the phone and always with a great attitude and super helpful.

I'll be starting a very similar build to yours next month. What parts did you get from Breeze? I've already got the radiator mounts/shroud/cowl, dash supports and wiper kit from them. Curious what else I might be interested in.

Mark is really cool. I went to order a part and he contacted me to let me know that what I was ordering didn't make sense with what I had ordered before. He was very right! Seriously, he has been a complete God-send on this project. If he carries a particular part, and it works for your application, buying it is pretty much a no brainer. Some of the items he sells really should just come with the complete kit like the accelerator pedal, the fan shroud, the battery box, and (in my opinion) the Gas-n pipes.

I used many parts listed above. Also used the 70731 3/8" fuel pickup with the -06AN fitting. (I have 3/8" fuel line, but the standard FFR pickup is 5/16.)

I got mine the other day. Thanks for offering the free shipping. I wish I could have thought of a few other things to fill up the box but I haven't even taken delivery of my Roadster yet.

If you feel you need the 3/8" pick and return, Pro M offers the fuel pump hanger so equipped.
Edwardb, posted the part and company in his thread.
The part is well made, but will have to change one of the wiring connectors to fit the pump. The Pro M hanger has a large spade connector for the + and small spade connector for the - . The Walbro pump connectors are both large. I will have to remove, replace, solder and heat shrink the small spade. The pump is marked + and -, since both connectors are the same.

Yup - 70731 is supply only for applications. For EFI applications with 255lph pump Breeze offers a 06AN auxiliary return kit, 70750. If you already have a 255lph in-tank pump assembly you should run an auxiliary return.
