so full kit and wiring harness...I have a purple wire that goes from the tach to the coil (that's what it says on it) but I have a MSD Box with a grey wire that says to hook it to the tach. I'm thinking that I hook that purple wire to the grey wire on the MSD Box and not the coil. Also have a blue wire on the MSD Box that says it goes to the ignition, if so to which terminal? or does it go to the starter solenoid where the blue wire from the ignition is?

Hi,
I am at the same spot you were at last year's post. What did you do to solve your issues with the purple and grey wires?
The grey wire from the MSD that is supposed to go to the tach can be connected to the purple tach wire that is originally supposed to go to the coil.
As for the starter and ignition wires, there's a difference. The starter wire is used to indicate that the starter motor should run, so it's only hot (has voltage) for the 15 seconds you turn the ignition key to start. The wire that goes to the ignition should go to a wire on the chassis that has power as long as the car (ignition) is "on." That's the position the key is in when the car is running normally.

Also make sure that the ignition wire is "on" while in the start position. There is usually one that is on when in the "on" position only but goes off when in the "start" position for radio etc and one that is on in both "on" and "start".
