After attending the HB event for the first time, I want to thank all of those exhibitors & builders, who provided me useful advise & recommended the forum site. Mahalo, Kinsan.

Welcome to the forum. I am glad that you had a good time at the HB event, which model are you looking at building?

ALoHa Kinsan,
Welcome to the forum.
Just to let you know that we're on the island too. We're in North Kohala, in Hawi (bet you could of figured that...). We've got our 818S ordered with an August build date. Still haven't worked out the shipping yet. Meanwhile, I'm stripping the WRX donor car (about done) and working on the motor. Hopefully it will be ready by the time our kit arrives.
What FFR kit have you ordered? Hopefully it's an 818 so we can compare notes.
BTW, we plan to autocross our 818 when it's done. We're currently autocrossing a Miata in Hilo about once a month (every event).
AloHa,
Rick

Thanks for your response. I'm glad I'm not alone w/FFR interest. There's a lot of wanna bees, but most are not serious enough. I purchased aMK IV two years ago & we're still working on it. We're doing the electrical & trying to incorporate
Electrical to others accessories; additional lights, amplifier, turn-signal, back-up lights & etc. I'm projecting end of June to complete the kit car. Hope to meet you on this side of the island.

If you were at the show, I may have spoken to you. There were several builders from Fresno @ HB. Your car is beautiful & I hope my MK IV will look just like yours.

Kinsan-
Welcome to the forum. Seems like you are well on your way to completion, and have avoided all of us here spending your money on great modifications!
Good luck as you finish things up, and please post some pictures to let us see how things are turning out for you.
hawirick-
There is another 818 builder who you may have seen on the forum, honolulu hana is his screen name. He is nearly completed, and may be a resource for you.
Good luck to each of you!
Regards,
Steve
